New-look Watermark website goes live online
Here’s a preview – plus your owner password
The name remains the same – watermarkbeachcondo.com – but the look, feel and content options on the redesigned site have been enhanced to benefit Watermark owners, Rental Group members and prospective renters.
Here’s what’s new and different and your password instructions.
• For the first time, prospective renters will be able to check out each of the Watermark’s 22 rental accommodations online before calling the office to book.
• The advantages of the Watermark as a vacation destination are given much more visibility — spelled out in three categories: Our Rentals, Our Grounds and Our Location and on an expanded Area Links page where you can check NSB weather, special events and a live webcam of ocean conditions near the Watermark.
• In a new area called Raves, you can see what a memory-making place the Watermark’s vacation condos have been for past tenants – in their own words.
• In an all-new owners-only area, you’ll be able to stay up with Watermark news… ask the board a question… and pass along a maintenance suggestion.
• A new Watermark Owner Calendar can be of help reminding you of upcoming meetings, deadlines and special events.
• Owners will also be able to use the website as a resource for finding a repair person familiar with the Watermark.
• In the area of finance, you’ll find the annual operating budget, recent condo sales, assessment notices, and a complete assessment history of the Watermark.
• In the Archives area, you’ll be able to access the Watermark’s official founding docs and bylaws as well as architectural standards, Florida Condo Statutes, the IRS guide to Ownership of Residential Rental Property & Vacation Homes and a Watermark-specific Guide to Hurricane Preparations.
Once you are on the new watermarkbeachcondo.com site, access to the Owners-only section will require a user ID and password:
The ID is marker401
The password is loggerhead
The new site was designed by Hosting NSB. There are rather simple websites… and then there are more complex ones such as ours – with lots of moving pieces and parts. Shea and Elisa Crawford brought a rare combination of mindfulness, creativity, efficiency and patience to this project … fantastic collaborators every step of the way. The site was a real community effort. The hundreds of interior photos required the full cooperation of 22 Rental Group members to make happen on short notice before the snowbirds started to arrive… Doug Howe contributed the Assessment History chart… Other ideas date back to our very first brainstorm session with Norm Himes… Watermark board members have been supportive from the get-go.
We hope you like it. More importantly, we hope you use it regularly.
Keep in mind that with the launch of the redesigned site, nothing changes in the way you’ll currently get official Watermark updates sent to your email inbox. Those will continue.
Also keep in mind we’ll be adding features and updating content as we move forward. So we welcome your feedback – especially ideas for features you’d like to see added to the site.
As much as we’ve tried to get everything just right, gremlins could have been missed, so please let us know right away of any inaccurate or out of place information… or of any trouble you may have getting around the site. Please direct suggestions, thoughts or concerns to Bill Dunn at willbdunn@aol.com

Managers to take over rentals from beachside in mid-March
December 22, 2016
Re: Change to Rental Program
Please be advised that Kirk and Donna Maupin will be taking over the complete rental program, effective March 15, 2017.
Through discussion with the Board, Kirk and Donna expressed interest in managing the complete rental program thus eliminating Beachside Realty’s involvement. The Board is comfortable with granting them this request.
Beachside Realty has been extremely helpful, following the termination of Piper Realty in March of this year, and has been very supportive to Kirk and Donna. Discussion was held with Beachside Realty and although they expressed disappointment regarding the change they advised that they would be nearby if we required further assistance.
Because of the added expenses that Kirk and Donna will experience, for example State, County and City licenses, banking charges, postage, etc., the Board also agreed that the rental commission, currently at 14% should remain.
It is clearly understood by all parties involved that this change will result in no added costs to the membership, the Board or the rental group.
Sincerely
Bill Biedenbach,
President
